My Sick Ones

Well, beginning with Spencer last week and now Aine this week, both my loves have been fighting some sort of bacteria. I have felt so helpless in trying to make them feel better, but I'm happy to say that with both we are definitely on the right path towards health again. Spencer is to the point where he is feeling pretty good but is just coughing like crazy to get all the junk out of his lungs. Aine, on the other hand, just broke her fever this weekend. I'm sure she will have plenty of coughing to come. It's hard with her because I know that she isn't feeling good, but it is difficult to know what will help her feel better. The good news is that overall she has been a trooper. Even though she doesn't feel well, a good majority of the time she is happy and jabbering on just like usual. I've even had some good cuddle sessions with her. This is unusual for her, considering she is always running off my lap to play or explore. But I still do hate when Aine and Spencer are sick!

Making Something of Memories

This past weekend I took some time to make a video of the pictures and videos we have of Aine. It was fun to pull out all the pictures but mostly fun to see the videos. There were a bunch that Spencer and I had forgotten about and we laughed over them. (Mostly at our silly gooing) I started the video at the beginning of her life and went through her whole first year and up to now. It was emotional to see her when she was a newborn and so little and then in about 15 minutes grow right before my eyes. It was humbling, and to think we are going to be doing it all over again with a new one here soon.

I thought about taking the time to post it or at least a portion of the video, but I had some thoughts on it. One, my internet connection is so slow it probably would never download. Two, I don't think that it would mean much to others as it does to me. And last, if you want to see it, I want to watch you watching it. :)

It's a Boy!

Faith and I went to the ultra sound this morning and found out that our next child is a boy. We are both excited to have a new addition to the family. The due date is still set for October 24th. We are going to have one girl and one boy in the family. We hope to have pictures of the new baby on the blog soon. Til then stay tuned.

Here We Go Again

Yesterday, Spencer started school again. After a 6 week break I almost forgot how it felt to have him away at class... almost. This is not going to be any fun. Spencer is excited to get into the books again, but I can't wait until he's finished. Hopefully, if we can have some miracles it won't be too much longer.

Sticker Fun

I think these stickers came with a box of diapers we got when Aine was really young. I hung on to them for when she would be old enough to really enjoy them. She didn't know what to do with them at first, but in the end her leg was her favorite place to put them.

Italian Fried Creme

I saw on KBYU's Create channel, "Lidia's Italy" where she demonstrated how to make Fried Creme. So I jumped on her website and pulled the recipe off. I finally got a chance to finish it up today and try it. Thanks for the help from Charity and Catherine! It was different but yummy!
