LDS Business College Graduation
I finally did it. I graduated from LDS Business College on April 15, 2010. I recieved my Assocaite degree in Business Information Systems. I want to thank everyone who made it possible for me to achieve this great accomplishment. Thank you for family members in watching Aine and Tanner these past two years and I want to especially thank my dear wife Faith for enduring through it as well especially those nights that I had four hour classes. I hope you enjoy these pictures. The first picture is me shaking hands with Elder Richard J. Maynes a member of the First Quormn of the Seventy.

Graduation Day April 15th
It's hard to believe that I will be graduating from LDS Business College in a week and half. For all those interested in attending, graduation will be held at the Assembly Hall on Temple Sqaure. Seating is first come first serve and everyone needs to be seated no later than 1:45pm. The program will last about an hour and a half. Elder Richard J. Maynes of the Quormn of the Seventy will preside over the meeting.

God is Good
Spencer has began his internship with Miller Motor Sports Park that will give him some experience in his field. It will also give him the hours he will need to graduate with his associates degree next spring. Today, I received the go ahead to be able to do most of my job from home when I go on maternity leave. So, we may actually financially make it through my leave. We'll see how juggling everything goes. One thing I know for sure is that God's hands were in all of this and I've got to trust that He will help to make everything else okay.

Here We Go Again
Yesterday, Spencer started school again. After a 6 week break I almost forgot how it felt to have him away at class... almost. This is not going to be any fun. Spencer is excited to get into the books again, but I can't wait until he's finished. Hopefully, if we can have some miracles it won't be too much longer.

So Close
This morning I ventured to the school to meet with Jostens and order my cap and gown for graduation. Yesterday I got my graduation form signed by a half dozen people and turned in. Graduation is actually coming. It makes me sad when I think about how it has taken me eight years to get an associates degree. That seems pretty pathetic. But I can't say that I'm not greatful for all the little diversions that have happened in between graduating from high school and getting this degree. My mission and marrying Spencer are two of the greatest things that have happened in my life. So, I guess eight years to an associates degree are years well spent.
While I was posting this blog I came across two more pictures that caused me to reflect on an even greater event that is so, so close. Aine's due date is 4 weeks from tomorrow and it seems like I can't go through a night without some strange dream haunting me about somthing like not knowing how to get to the hospital. Why is it that big life changes seem to happen all at the same time?

The Accounting Equation
Who would have ever guessed that the accounting equation would equal spending quality time with Spencer? We sat down and talked through his accounting homework and I, being the dork that I am, helped him to get excited about how the accounting equation all works out. I have to admit it was very nice to have Spencer involved in something that I'm working on in one form or another most of the time. Since starting his accounting class he even has asked me about what I'm doing at work and how it relates to what he is learning in class. How about that? In the end, I'm so greatful to have an excuse to spend time with my love while doing some every present homework. :)

Back to School

It's back to school for Faith and I again. Faith is very excited because this is her last semester of school and she will be graduating come April. I am proud of her accomplishments and her dedication to her school work. As for me I'm taking some classes that will keep me on my toes. My classes are Basic Mathematics, Accounting 101 and Principles of Public Speaking. I will be busy this semester and I hope to learn some great things in these classes.

A A A
I'm so proud of Spencer, I just had to post this up. He got his 3rd A grade on his paper for Communications. He gets his 4th one back this Thursday and I know that he is going to keep up his streak. I'm so greatful to him for going back to school against all his fears. He has been putting a lot of time and effort into doing well. Just like Spencer does with many things in his life, when he sets his mind on a goal he works hard at it and that's what he is doing with school. I knew he could do well. I love ya Spence! Both of us are beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. With our Thanksgiving break quickly approaching and semester end on the tail of that, we just might make it through this sememster! For me this is even more exciting, only one more semester to go after this! April is seeming closer all the time.

School is Here!
Congrats to Spencer! He has been officially accepted to LDSBC and is now registered for three classes. That's right, he's made the decision to go back to school and I am so proud of him! He is going to do a good job. We both will be starting school again this Monday and we're excited! I admit balancing work, school and pregnancy is going to be a challange but I love it! I'm in the race to the finish to graduate from school. True I won't have reached my goal of getting my associates before we start having kids, but at least our baby will only be a couple of month old when I do, if I can make it. :) I've missed sitting in a classroom with other students and friends and learning new things. I'm excited to have Spencer along for the ride this time around. Now he'll be understand when I'm trying to do homework, hehe. He will be taking some general classes that I have already taken and I have given him a heads up on what to expect. He is excited to give school another try.Thursday, May 3, 2007
School Is Still Going...Whoo!
I started my Spring Term on Monday. With classes on Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 8 am to 2 pm, I'm thankful to have Tuesday and Thursday off. Both the Spring and Summer terms are set up to fit in the same time period as a semester. With that you get the full classes in half the time. So one two hour class will cover 2 1/2 class periods worth of information. Needless to say, I'm grateful to have a couple of days a week to catch up on homework. Spencer is the one who makes each semester or term possible. I know I would not be able to do it without him. Thank you Spencer, I love you!
