Marathon #9 continue

More pictures of the race. Enjoy!

MARATHON #9

What a great morning it was to run. I got up to the starting line around 4am. Sat and visited with other runners. The view on top of Big Mountain was really neat. You could see all the city lights down below and the stars in the sky were spectacular. It's amazing what you can miss so early in the morning. This marathon is one that I have had my focus on throughout my training. In fact I ran the course a week and half before, so I knew what to expect with no surprises. It was a great run and my training really paid off. I set a new PR (personal record) for myself 2hrs 53min 52sec. That is a 6:38 mile pace. I took 13th overall and 4th place in my age group which is competitive. The top two runners in the age group were the winners of the marathon. The winning time was 2hrs 18min. I am proud of my accomplishment. I have always wanted to run faster than a 3 hour marathon and I knew I could do it. I got the job done. I have one more goal to achieve and look forward to accomplishing it next month in Park City.
Thanks to Dad in taking these pictures. I hope you enjoy them.

Dinner Time in My Very Own Abode

Check out me in my cool, new seat! Every night when my mom and dad think they should be eating dinner I just don't want to be left alone. So, even though I'm not quite 6 months old, like the box said I should be, I decided to join the family for dinner in my nifty booster seat. Please ignore the silly blankets that are holding me upright... no one needs to see those. Hey, check it out! Mom got a little camera crazy... but can you blame her? Who wouldn't want to take a dozen or two pics of this adorable face? I certainly wanted to try! :)

Loves to all those faithful fans out there!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY

I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July. As for Faith, Aine and I we were up early. We went up to Kaysville and I ran the 10K race. I did well. I came in 4th overall and first in age group. My time was 36:02. That is a 5:47 mile pace. It was good race to prepare for my marathon which is coming up here in two and half weeks. Great to have Dad, Mom, Nathan and Seth all come out and cheer for me. Nice to see friends from High School again and how different they are ten years later. We went and hung out with Faith's family for the afternoon. Drove to Grantsville to see the fireworks that night.

Flaming Gorge Trip

This last week June 24th thru the 28th I spent time with my family up in Flaming Gorge. We all had a blast. The water tempature was 58 degrees, 10 degrees cooler . That did not stop most of us from jumping in the water. The first day when we got to the lake it was raining. We got camp set up quickly and kept our stuff dry. Dan and Marci came up late Wednesday night. Mom cooked up some good meals both breakfast and dinner. For lunches we had sandwiches, chips and cookies. It was exciting to see Dan, Chad (brother in law) and Seth get up on one ski and be pulled by the boat all at once. Seth did try to pull off a trick by kicking his ski off and getting on Dan's shoulders. The attempt was almost a success. Later on in the day all us except Mom and my sister Rachael went and did some cliff jumping. Saturday we got up ate breakfast, took camp down and headed home. Thank you family for a fun and memorable week.
Dan and Marci it was fun to have you here in Utah. I hope you both enjoyed your stay the past two and half weeks. Look forward to seeing you both this Christmas.
