Snow Day

This is why I have a sudden catch up of pictures. I couldn't resist getting some pictures of Aine playing in the snow this morning. She looks like a marshmellow in all her snow gear! She was so excited to get out in the snow and build a snowman that she snarfed down her breakfast. She was dressed and in her snow gear in no time. Unfortanlty for her, I was still in my PJ's and eating breakfast when she was ready to go. So, she went out and played in the snow on our driveway until Spencer got out there and opened the gate to the backyard for her. She ran around the driveway kicking up snow. I love her little goon face. She's at the stage where she can't just smile in a picture. She has to make a face.

Halloween 2011

This year Halloween was a weekend long event. We started it off with a party with my old work, PDC. Aine has fun maning the camera and Tanner jumping at my co-workers. Next was the ward's Chilli Cookoff and Truck-or-Treat. Then Halloween day we went to the traditional Clark Halloween party. We went trick-or-treating around Grandpa and Grandma Clark's and saw the amazing display of carved pumpkins. Our last visit was to Grandma and Grandpa Durfee's were they chowed down on their haul. This year I opted for the "Let them eat until they are sick" approach. I am happy to say that the candy was out of our hair in a week or so.

The lovely couple

I love that Aine and Tanner know and love my Grandparents. My Grandma and Grandpa Linton are amazing! They have so much love for their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They know them well and know what's going on in our lives. Whenever I meet up with them I can get an update on any of their posterity. I hope to be like them when I grow up.

Tanner Turns Two

Here's some pictures of Tanner's birthday and his cake. He is growing so fast. He has decided that now is the time to talk and talk and talk, (although most of his words are only understandable by mom and dad). Just this last week he has also started to put his words into simple sentences. Many of them end with a pause and then "Mom" or "Dad". It's so funny. He loves anything with wheels and balls. But he also loves anything that Aine likes. So sometimes I catch him walking around the house wearing Aine's dress up shoes or her jewelry.

He is my snuggler. He loves giving hugs and kisses and lots of smiles to anyone who is willing to take them. He seeks approval and comforts those who need it. Whenever we walk anywhere, from the car to the grocery store to just going up the stairs, he wants to hold my hand. He takes my hand and looks up at me with a smile and a look that says "Okay, now we can go!" I love you, my Tan The Man!

Preschool for Aine

I know this is way past due, but I came across some pictures on my camera and I am playing catch-up. This is of Aine and her first day of preschool. She was so excited to go to school. She first got excited about school two years ago when she watched her cousin Teagan and our neighbor Justin go to school. She always wanted a Dora backpack just like Teagan's. (She got that for her birthday :)At that time she was a new big sister and we convinced her to get potty trained so she would be able to go to school. She was so excited to go to school that potty training was a breeze. Poor thing didn't know that she would have to wait this long to go, but she is finally there! She has loved the socializing and playing with other kids in our ward. She is so smart and quick to learn. We rotate between mom's in our ward every week, so sometimes she is a little scared to go to a new place. But once she is settled in, she has no fear.
